Jennifer is a former Manhattan lawyer who counsels clients in investigations and high-stakes litigation.
Praised by clients and colleagues alike as “superb,” “extremely bright,” “talented,” and “a star,” with an “incredible work ethic,” Jennifer began her legal career in New York City. As an associate at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, Jennifer represented organizational and individual clients in federal criminal and regulatory investigations, as well as complex civil matters. Jennifer has criminal trial experience, having defended a former trader at a major financial institution in a federal wire-fraud prosecution.
Jennifer has also handled numerous internal investigations. She has conducted investigations in the education, finance, and life sciences industries. Her work has included investigation of suspected misappropriation, as well as potential violations of federal laws.
As an inaugural clerk for the Honorable Margaret M. Garnett, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of New York in Manhattan, Jennifer was able to observe courtroom litigation on a near-daily basis and to learn from a storied former prosecutor and leader of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.
In addition to her clerkship with Judge Garnett in Manhattan, Jennifer was privileged to serve as a judicial intern for the Honorable John L. Sinatra, U.S. District Judge for the Western District of New York in Buffalo.
